Jeremy Mostillo
Parsippany SC U13 Boys
In one of the closest, high-scoring games of the 2012 Super Y-League season, Mostillo scored six goals in Parsippany’s 7-6 win against the New York Magic on Thursday.
“Jeremy is a natural goal scorer with incredible speed, great work rate, and desire to win every ball and contribute for the team,” Parsippany SC Coach Stan Matlak said.
Parsippany started well and put pressure on the visiting team and scored three quick goals. A Parsippany mistake gave the Magic their first goal and hope that a comeback was possible. It was, as they scored three quick goals of their own to go into the half with a 4-3 lead.
The second half was open for both teams, resulting in plenty of scoring opportunities. The score changed every few minutes, and Mostillo scored the winner in the last minute of the game. The only goal not scored by Mostillo was a penalty kick that came about from a NY Magic foul on Mostillo.
“Jeremy put himself in very good position to receive passes and his finishes on the day were outstanding,” Matlak said. “[He] was outstanding. Many of the goals he scored in this game were coming from his individual effort, with the last minute game-winner showing his desire to improve with every play.”
