Emily Muniz and Melissa Piccoli were honored as co-winners of the Ravens’ Fall 05 Season Most Improved Player Award at the team’s season ending party last Sunday.

Emily is a member of the Ravens’ solid defensive corps that yielded only 2 goals during the league season.  She created many offensive chances with her booming kicks upfield, and she improved upon her skill set each and every week.  By the end of the season, she was a rock steady performer, and was willing and able to accept the most important defensive responsibilities.

Melissa is a very versatile player, with most of her time spent as an aggressive offensive middie.  When called upon, she could play any position up on top as well.  Her skills improved tremendously during the season, along with her willingness to get more involved in the action with some bigger opposing players.  Usually, it was Melissa who came away with the ball. Her tenacity is what won over the coaching staff.
