3/25/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. RYSA Wildcats, (L 1-3)
The Ravens had planned for a better outcome.  In the winter season finale, the Ravens were looking to bring home the session 2 championship in this winner take all contest.  But RYSA was one step ahead of the Ravens today, got a few lucky bounces, and eventually pulled out to a 3-0 lead.  The Ravens held tough, and got it to 3-1, but time was not on their side.  It was a good effort, but just not our day.   (Ravens lineup/goals: Abinader, Astrella, Fulton, Logan, McLean, Muniz, Pesci (1), Piccoli, Seldin, Vitencz, Wojcik)

3/18/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. Warwick Wildcats, (W 2-1)
The Ravens came into this game needing a win to advance to the Championship game 3/25.  The Ravens (2-2; 11GF 5GA) and the Wildcats (3-1; 11GF 5GA) were meeting for the fouth time this season, with Warwick victorious in each encounter, and one of those victories in the second session.  However, a win would vault the Ravens over their winter nemisis and put them in the finals based upon the second tie-breaker (goal differential).  The Ravens got up 2-0, but Warwick pulled within one with 5 minutes to go.  The Ravens tightened up the defense, and will now play for the session two championship next week vs. another tough winter opponent, the Rampao Wildcats.  (Ravens lineup/goals: Astrella, McLean, Pesci, Piccoli, Seldin, Socolow, Vitencz (2), Wojcik, Hakes)

3/11/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. Waldwick Warriors, (W 3-0)
Well it wasn't pretty, as the Ravens let Waldwick stick around for the first 17 minutes by trying to do everything by brute force.  Once they got into a rhythm by settling the ball down, and letting the ball do some of the work, the chances and goals started coming.   (Ravens lineup/goals: Astrella (1), Fulton, Logan, McLean, Moreira, Muniz (1), Pesci, Seldin, Socolow, Valori, Vitencz (1))

3/4/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. RYSA, (L 0-1)
One early defensive mis-cue decided this game   Otherwise, the fourth game this winter between these teams was evenly played, but with the Ravens outchancing their rivals by a small margin. (Ravens lineup: Astrella, Fulton, Gaven, Pesci, Piccoli, Randolph, Seldin, Valori, Vitencz, Wojcik)

2/25/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. Warwick Wildcats (L 3-4)
The Ravens got down early in the game 0-1, and later on 1-3, before they started putting it together.  The girls had a strong comeback to tie the game at 3, but with just a couple of minutes to go, Warwick pulled out another one goal win. (Ravens lineup/goals: Fulton (1), Logan (1), McLean (1), Moreira, Muniz, Piccoli, Valori, Wojcik, Carmo, Gazzo)

2/19/06 - Soccer Palace Tournament (1-1-1); Third Place Finish

We've seen it before in tournament play; "never underestimate the value of one goal."

The Ravens had three strong games vs. some top competition, but failed to make it into the championship game when the third tie-breaker needed to be enforced vs. Pasco.  While even in points with 1-1-1 records, and a tie in head-to-head play, the Ravens came up one goal short in goal differential which was the third tie-breaker.  Had it gone to the fourth tie-break (least goals allowed), the Ravens would have been playing one more game!  (Ravens Tourney Lineup; Abinader, Fulton, Logan, Muniz, Pesci, Piccoli, Seldin, Valori, Vitencz, Wojcik).

Game 1 vs. Manhattan Kickers (L 0-1) - The only goal of the game came on a poorly executed Ravens' goal kick restart which was margin enough for the eventual tourney champs.  A very fast paced game which saw the Ravens elevate their own game to a new level.

Game 2 vs. Pasco (T 1-1) - The Ravens held tough vs. Pasco and got the tieing goal as time was winding down.  A great effort all around, with plenty of opportunities for both teams to snatch a win.
(Ravens Goal - Vitencz)

Game 3 vs. Clifton Stallions (W 2-0) - Another gutty and great performance by the entire team.  Some great saves in net by Randi Pesci helped seal the shutout win.  (Ravens Goals - Wojcik, Fulton)

2/18/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. Waldwick Warriors (W 5-0)
The Ravens started off the Session 2 season with their most dominating and best game of the winter.  Excellent ball movement, passing, possession play ... and finishing!  The team was committed to get off to a great start this session, which will pit them vs. two well known opponents from session 1.  Best effort . (Ravens lineup/goals: Fulton, Logan (3), McLean, Moreira, Muniz, Piccoli, Seldin (1), Valori, Wojcik (1))

2/11/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. RYSA Wildcats (L 0-1)
The third meeting of the session, and the rubber game, went to RYSA who scored the lone goal of the game on a corner kick.  The win gave RYSA sole possession of 3rd place in the final first session standings. (Ravens lineup: Fulton, Logan, Moreira, Muniz, Piccoli, Stagl, Valori, Vitencz)

2/4/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. Warwick Wildcats (L 2-3)
The Ravens had a chance to really make the final results of the first session very interesting, and they almost pulled it off.  However, they came up just one goal short of a draw, and two goals short of making it a three-way tie for second place.  (Ravens lineup/goals: Astrella, Fulton, Logan, McLean, Moreira, Muniz, Piccoli, Stagl (1), Wojcik (1))

1/28/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. RYSA Wildcats (W 1-2)
The Ravens gave up the first goal after a goal mouth scramble in the 17th minute.  But then the Ravens finally showed the resilience, defense and teamwork that defined their outdoor season.  They tied the game with 9 minutes to go, and then got the game winner with 1 minute left in this well played game.  (Ravens lineup/goals): Fulton, Logan (1), McLean, Moreira, Piccoli, Pesci, Socolow, Vitencz (1), Wojcik

1/21/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. Soccer Domain (L 0-5)
The Ravens were at a disadvantage before the game started, knowing that they would have to go the entire 38 without any subs.  Regardless, the team put up a good fight, but couldn't match the speed, skill and intensity of the Soccer Domain side. (Ravens lineup: Astrella, Pesci, Seldin, Stagl, Valori, Vitencz, Wojcik)

1/14/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. Warwick Wildcats (L 0-2)
The Ravens let up a soft goal in the first 45 seconds, and another with 3 minutes to go in the game.  In between, the team had spurts of dominance, and had a number of good hard shots at the net.  However, most sailed just high, while one shot found the crossbar and another caught the upright.  Amanda Fulton and Alina Vitencz did great jobs filling in as goalie today. (Ravens lineup: Astrella, Fulton, Logan, Moreira, Piccoli, Valori, Vitencz, Wojcik)

1/7/06 @ Lincoln Park vs. RYSA Wildcats (L 0-3)
In their winter indoor opener, the Ravens were one step behind, and a bit out of sync, coming off a 6 1/2 week break directly into a game situation.  Additionally, some uncharacteristic defensive breakdowns led to two RYSA goals, while the third was the result of hard charging RYSA striker aggressively taking the defense on and scoring.  Ravens had their chances, but didn't challenge the RYSA goalie with any hard driving shots.  (Ravens lineup: Astrella, Fulton, Logan, McLean, Pesci, Piccoli, Seldin, Socolow, Stagl, Vitencz, Wojcik)
