Most Frequently Asked Registration and/ or Intramural Soccer Questions
Why are there 2 different registration fees, one for Parsippany residents and one for non- Parsippany residents?
The Township Council of Parsippany passed an ordinance in 2006 requiring out of town players to pay fees for playing on town fields. The soccer club has to collect these fees for the out of town players since we are now being charged for them playing on town fields.
Why is there a closing date on the Registration form for the Intramural Program?
In order to have parity on the Intramural teams, the soccer club is now instituting a closing date for the Intramural program. The Parsippany Soccer Club will however reserve the right to take on additional players AFTER the closing date IF A SPECIFIC AGE GROUP REQUIRES IT.
How long is the Intramural Soccer Season?
The Intramural Soccer Season usually begins the first Saturday following Labor Day and concludes the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving.
When are Intramural Soccer practices?
Practices for intramural teams are up to the discretion of the individual volunteer coach. Coaches are encouraged to practice two weeknights each week for the first half of the season, when daylight is still available.
When are Intramural Soccer games played?
Intramural Soccer games are usually played on Saturdays. For the fall season, all games are scheduled to be played on fields in Parsippany. For the spring season, home games are played in Parsippany and away games are played in a neighboring town.
What grades comprise each soccer division?
- Div. 7 is grades Pre-K – Kindergarten (Pre-K players must be 4 years of age by October 1)
- Div. 5 is grades 3-4

- Div. 3 is grades 7, 8, 9

How do I sign up to be a coach in the Parsippany Soccer Club?
On the registration form there is space for you to indicate your interest to help us as a coach. You can also send an email to the appropriate division director (click here for list) to let him/her know of your interest.
The intramural program CANNOT operate without volunteer coaches. Please offer your services early, so we can plan effectively.
Is there any special qualifications needed to coach in the Parsippany Soccer Club?
No, you do not need any special qualifications, but you will need to be certified to coach. The soccer club holds a certification class before the season begins and a coaches’ clinic to teach you how to coach a youth soccer team with some practice drills and techniques that you may use for your own practices. Dates for these will be announced via email by the VP of Divisions.
